Guide — Deemed export
A pre-access checklist your compliance team can actually run.
Use this checklist to evaluate whether your current visitor or contractor process meets deemed-export expectations — or whether you need a dedicated pre-access decision system.
- Scope capture
- Screening gate
- Evidence export

Decision before access
Intake, screening, review, approval gate, and evidence export stay on one record.
Checklist
Before you grant controlled access
- 01Identify the subject, citizenship, and employer before scheduling site access.
- 02Define the access scope: areas, data classification ceiling, time window, and escort requirements.
- 03Confirm an internal host or sponsor accountable for the visit.
- 04Run denied-party / export-control screening before approval, not at the lobby.
- 05Route potential matches to a trained reviewer with match-resolution codes.
- 06Block self-review: the requester cannot be the final approver on their own case.
- 07Record approve, deny, or conditional outcomes with structured reason codes.
- 08Retain an exportable evidence pack tied to the case ID — not an email thread.
- 09Re-screen active approvals when lists change or the visit window extends.
Regulated Access implements items 4–8 as product workflow — intake, screening gate, review console, self-review block, and evidence pack export. Items 1–3 and 9 are operational practices the product supports through host/site admin, scope capture, and re-screening foundation.
